Miss E W Macharia

Miss E W MachariaMiss Macharia is an early-years researcher. Her PhD project is titled: “Risk stratification in gastro- oesophageal reflux.” As a Clinical Research Associate (REMOS trial) and Specialist Trainee in Paediatric Surgery, she has gained experience in the administration of questionnaires, measurement of health status and treatment of children with GOR. She will ensure translation of standard paper-based questionnaires into an efficacious smartphone symptom tracker. Miss Macharia is supervised by Professor Agostino Pierro and Dr Simon Eaton, UCL Insitute of Child Health.

 

Professor Tim Cole

Prof ColeProfessor Tim Cole is an eminent medical statistician with a research interest in child growth and paediatrics. He brings experience of statistical analysis of large and complex data sets, and the development of software for the analysis of growth data. Professor Cole will be pivotal in developing the statistical algorithms that will drive the analysis and reporting of data collected.

We have been working closely with Dr Alastair Moore, DECIDE Project Lead and Mr Richard Groves of Noodlefroot Ltd. The TARDIS project continues to benefit from technical and development support from UCL Advances.

Great Ormond Street HospitalWe are collaborating with clinicians at GOSH, working together to pilot this app before widespread dissemination. We are working closely with Mr Joe Curry, Consultant Paediatric Surgeon and Specialty Lead for General Surgery. We have also consulted closely with Dr Mamoun Elawad, Lead Clinician, Department of Gastro-enterology.

 

NHS Choices

NHS Choices NHS Choices is the online 'front door' to the NHS. It is the country's biggest health website and gives all the information you need to make choices about your health. NHS Choices plans to adopt TARDIS GOR as one of the portfolio of e-health tools made available for NHS users.

 

Open Forms Ltd.

OpenOpenForms Ltd. develops software that assists multi-lingual consultations. Working in consultation with the TARDIS project team, OpenForms will articulate the technical specifications for developing smart-phone based research tools.
